Actor Michael Madsen allegedly owes ex-wife $1.2 million in back child support

A legal dispute has emerged over the estate of late actor Michael Madsen, with Los Angeles County authorities claiming he owed more than $1.2 million in unpaid child support to his ex-wife.

According to court documents, the Los Angeles County Child Support Services Department alleges that Madsen owed $1,267,573.49 to Jeannine Bisignano, stemming from obligations tied to their divorce settlement dating b ack to 1995. The claim also reportedly includes a share of payments from his Screen Actors Guild pension.

Madsen, known for roles in films such as “Reservoir Dogs” and “Kill Bill,” died in July 2025 from cardiac arrest. Since his death, a dispute has developed over who should manage his estate.

Bisignano is seeking control of the estate in order to recover the outstanding payments she claims are owed. However, the actor’s sons, Christian and Max, have filed a petition to take over administration of the estate themselves.

A court hearing is scheduled to determine who will be granted authority over the estate, as the legal battle over Madsen’s finances continues.
