Marketing Expert and Director of Marketing at Marketing Edge, Anietie Udoh has secured a major international milestone with his appointment as the jury of the New York Festivals (NYF) Advertising Awards, as one of the world’s most respected platforms for creative excellence.
This selection is significant as he stands as the only Nigerian on the 2026 NYF International Shortlist Jury—an elite panel comprising more than 300 top-tier executives and award-winning creatives drawn from 43 countries across six continents.
The NYF Shortlist Jury represents the first and most critical stage in the awards’ judging process, evaluating entries across a wide range of categories and determining which works advance to the final rounds. As such, Udoh’s role places him among a select group of global decision-makers shaping the direction of modern advertising and marketing.
His appointment also highlights the growing recognition of Nigerian and African marketing expertise on the global stage. While countries such as South Africa boast multiple representatives on the jury, Udoh’s position underscores his unique standing as Nigeria’s sole representative in this influential global forum.
Beyond NYF, Udoh’s selection reflects a consistent pattern of international recognition. He has served on several high-profile global juries, including the SABRE Awards EMEA, International ECHO Awards, Effie Awards South Africa, AME Awards Grand Jury, and the Native Advertising Awards.
These appointments span key areas such as public relations, marketing effectiveness, data-driven campaigns, and branded content, reinforcing his reputation as a well-rounded industry leader with global relevance.
Industry observers note that such repeated inclusion in international juries is a strong endorsement of Udoh’s expertise, credibility, and strategic insight, placing him alongside some of the most respected voices in global marketing and communications.
For Nigeria, his appointment represents more than individual achievement. It signals the country’s increasing influence in global creative and marketing conversations, while also opening doors for broader African participation in top-tier industry platforms.
As the NYF Awards progress toward their final judging stages in New York, Udoh’s presence on the jury is expected to contribute not only to the evaluation of world-class work but also to the continued elevation of African perspectives in shaping global standards of creativity and effectiveness.
