After dumping APC, resigning from Tinubu’s government, Gawuna officially joins ADC

After dumping the All Progressives Congress and resigning his appointment in the administration of President Bola Tinubu, a former gubernatorial candidate of the APC in Kano State in the 2023 general election, Nasiru Gawuna, has formally joined the African Democratic Congress (ADC).
Gawuna, a former deputy governor to Abdullahi Ganduje, completed his registration with the ADC in his ward in Kano on Tuesday.
He was accompanied to the registration venue by a former Governor of the state, Rabiu Kwankwaso, who defected to the ADC from the New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP) recently, and hundreds of his supporters.
He registered in his ward in Nassarawa Local Government Area of the state.
Gawuna pledged loyalty to Kwankwaso, adding that he would not betray him as he had always accorded him respect.
He said wearing a red cap doesn’t dignify loyalty.
