APC holds ward congresses in Adamawa

The All Progressives Congress in Adamawa State on Monday held ward congresses across the 226 wards in the 21 local government areas of the state.

Speaking to journalists in Girie Local Government Headquarters, the chairman of the ward and local government congresses, Ephraim Agber, commended party members for the peaceful conduct of the exercise.

Agber said the outcome of the congresses in the state, which was conducted through consensus, has demonstrated that the party will not only win the presidential election but that there is no room for any other party to secure a seat in the state.

He added, “I am happy with my committee members to see one of the best congresses taking place in Adamawa state. Everywhere we go to monitor the congresses, you see people jubilating for the outcome.

“We must commend the leader of the party in Adamawa state, Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, with what we see during the ward congresses, which is a clear demonstration of his leadership qualities, which means he is doing what his people want.”

Agber, who urged the people of Adamawa State to continue their support for President Bola Tinubu and the governor, said the country’s economic growth prospects are embedded in Tinubu’s administration blueprint.

Also speaking exclusively to PidomNigeria Online, a former member of the House of Representatives representing Hong/Gombi Federal Constituency, Emmanuel Bello, commended the committee for the peaceful conduct of the ward congresses.

Bello, who said the congresses have proven the leadership qualities of Fintiri, urged the governor to continue with his policy of fairness and justice for all citizens of Adamawa State.

“The ward congresses is a warning to other political parties that Tinubu’s victory is secured ahead of the 2027 general elections, our congresses is rancour free and a celebration of one family, “ he said .

A chieftain of the APC, Suleiman Kakanda, who is spearheading Tinubu’s re-election campaign ahead of 2027, said the president’s victory is assured with the outcome of the ward congresses.

Kakanda called on APC members to work as a team to win all elective positions during the general elections.

The local government congresses will take place on Thursday this week.
