Yusuf Baba-Ahmed, a former vice presidential candidate for the Labour Party, has officially joined the Peoples Redemption Party (PRP).
His arrival was hailed by the party as a significant boost to its vision of a wealthy and reformed Nigeria.
The party said that Baba-Ahmed’s choice to join the PRP represented “a new dawn” and reaffirmed its commitment to national rejuvenation in a statement signed by its National Publicity Secretary, Muhammad Ishaq, in Abuja on Thursday.
The party stated that his presence, along with his nationwide supporters, would bolster its advocacy for enhanced security, economic transformation, and integrity in governance.
The PRP reaffirmed that all patriotic Nigerians who share its objective of creating a just, safe, and cohesive nation are welcome to join its platform.
It called on people from all walks of life to support its agenda in order to solve the nation’s problems.
The party’s five-point strategy, which emphasizes reviving the economy, addressing insecurity through institutional changes, restoring trust in leadership, and reorganizing the nation to guarantee efficiency and fairness in governance, is at the heart of its program.
The party emphasized that these goals are intended to take Nigeria from rhetoric to real progress, especially in vital areas like rural development, healthcare, and education.
