Boy, 15, ‘begged for his life’ before being killed by illegal migrant

A boy reportedly begged for his life before being murdered by an illegal migrant. Miles Young, 15, was allegedly lured from his home before being fatally ambushed by 18-year-old Yefry Archaga-Elvir.
Archaga-Elvir, a Honduran national, pretended to be a girl to meet the victim. He then allegedly chased Mr Young down the street before shooting him dead. The 18-year-old was arrested and has been charged with first-degree murder and armed criminal action. A second suspect, 18-year-old Praize King, has also been charged with first-degree murder and armed criminal action while a third suspect is yet to be identified.
The shooting took place in the US state of Missouri with prosecutors saying Archaga-Elvir “knowingly caused the death” of Mr Young. The suspects were reportedly driving around the area before the shooting as they plotted how they could “set up” the teenager.
Mr Young was due to a testify in a previous murder case before his death. Before being shot, he believed he was going to meet a girl but was reportedly set up by the suspects.
Authorities said he tried to run away but was “chased” and “shot” in the chest. A witness reported hearing him cry out: “I just don’t wanna die.”
Lauren Bis, Homeland Security acting assistant secretary, said: “Miles Young was lured to his death believing he was going to meet a girl. Instead, he was ambushed and killed in cold blood by this illegal alien who went on to brag about the murder.
“This animal was released into our country by the Obama administration. Ice lodged an arrest detainer requesting Missouri not release this depraved killer from jail into American neighborhoods.”
Archaga-Elvir arrived in the US in 2015. According to the Department of Homeland Security, he was allowed to stay in the country despite entering illegally.
Mr Young’s family have paid tribute to him, describing him as “compassionate” and “loving”. They added that he “brought light to everyone around him”.
His mother took to social media to share a message. She said her son was “bright, kind and unforgettable”, adding: “We are grieving a loss that words cannot fully express.”
