BREAKING: Iraola Reveals How Bournemouth Defeated Arsenal At Emirates Stadium

Bournemouth manager, Andoni Iraola, has explained why his team secured an impressive 2-1 victory over Arsenal in their Premier League clash on Saturday.

The Cherries delivered a strong performance at the Emirates Stadium, with goals from Alex Scott and Eli Junior Kroupi earning them all three points against a side widely regarded as one of the league’s top contenders this season.

After the match, Iraola praised his players for their discipline, confidence, and tactical awareness throughout the game. He noted that one of the key factors behind the victory was his team’s ability to deal effectively with Arsenal’s dangerous set-pieces, which have troubled many opponents in the past.

According to him, his players remained focused and organised at the back, limiting Arsenal’s chances despite the intense pressure from the home side. He also highlighted the team’s bravery, especially in possession, as they were willing to play through Arsenal’s press and take control of key moments in the match.

“We showed great personality to play in such a big game at a big stadium. We matched the level of the game, and I am very happy for the players,” Iraola said.

“Defensively, apart from the penalty we conceded, we handled their set-piece situations very well. We were brave, stayed compact, and delivered a complete performance.”

He further explained that his team improved as the match went on, growing in confidence and finding more space in midfield areas.

This allowed Bournemouth to create meaningful attacking opportunities and eventually make their chances count.

The result is a significant boost for Bournemouth as they continue their campaign, while Arsenal will be left disappointed after missing the opportunity to strengthen their position at the top of the table.
