Cool Microfinance Bank appoints Ambassador Doris Anyaoha as Independent Director

Cool Microfinance Bank Limited has announced the appointment of H.E. Ambassador Doris Anyaoha as its first Independent Director, in a move to further strengthen the bank’s corporate governance and board oversight.

The appointment underscores the institution’s commitment to transparency, accountability, and sound governance practices as it expands operations in Nigeria’s microfinance banking sector.

Ambassador Anyaoha brings over 20 years’ experience in banking and financial services, with professional exposure across business development, credit management, and retail banking. She has worked in key functional areas within the industry, gaining practical insight into operations, client management, and strategic growth.

She holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from a United Kingdom‑based institution and is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Finance and Control of Nigeria (CIFCN).

As Independent Director, she is expected to provide objective and unbiased oversight, ensuring board decisions align with regulatory requirements and the long‑term interests of the bank and its stakeholders.

The bank said her appointment reflects a deliberate effort to build a credible, well‑structured, and forward‑looking institution anchored on strong governance.
