Easter: Group urges Christians to remain hopeful

A group in Yewaland, the Giant Wise Men of Yewaland (G-15) have called on Christians to remain steadfast in hope and faith, assuring them of a glorious future anchored on the resurrection of Jesus Christ.

In an Easter message signed by its President, Idowu Ayomide Joseph, the group emphasised the spiritual significance of the season.

According to him, Easter, which essentially commemorates the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ, symbolises the assurance of God’s presence to all Christians.”

“It is not only a validation of the teachings and ideals of Jesus Christ, but also an assurance of the fulfilment of His promises concerning all things that pertain to life and godliness.”

The group urged Nigerians to look beyond the festivities associated with Easter, but reflect deeply on its core values of hope, sacrifice, and love.

According to the statement, “as long as we live in the consciousness of these ideals, life will indeed be more abundant and peaceful.”

The group encouraged Christian not to relent in offering prayers for the nation and leaders at all levels of government.

The group also commended political representatives in Yewaland, including Senator Olamilekan Adeola, Hon. Gboyega Isiaka, Hon. Wahab Aruna Egungbohun, and the Chairman of Yewa North Local Government, Dr. Olusola, for their cooperation towards the development of the area.

In addition, the group expressed appreciation to traditional rulers across Yewaland for fostering unity and supporting developmental efforts.

“We thank all traditional rulers in Yewaland for their unity and commitment to progress,” the statement noted.

“We appreciate Alhaji Ibrahim Dende Egungbohun for his generosity towards Christian youths in Yewaland,” the statement added.
