Easter: Visitors seek more side attractions at Sultan Beach

Fun-seekers have urged the Lagos State Government to create more side attractions at Sultan Beach in Badagry, to make it a top holiday destination.

They made the call on Saturday as Sultan Beach played host to hundreds of revellers from across the country celebrating Easter.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the beach had people of all ages having fun, eating, and drinking.

Mr Julius Onu, a 68-year-old fun-seeker, who resides in Agege area of the state, said he came to the beach with family and church members.

“The atmosphere is natural and we are really enjoying it. We came here around noon and we have been having a good time here,” he said.

Onu urged the beach management to add football, volleyball, and other games, so that visitors can have more activities beyond swimming.

Similarly, Ms Martha Abraham, advised the management to create more games at the beach.

She also recommended a children’s area while their parents are at the beachfront.

Mr Taiwo Ogunjobi, a resident of Agbara, said that Easter was a moment to spend time with family.

Meanwhile, Sule Abdullahi, a suya seller, lamented low sales.

“People are not patronising us at the beach, some of them brought their food and drinks from home.

“This time last year, I know how much I made, but it is low this year.

“I believe that fun-seekers will turn up tomorrow and next, maybe we will make our sales then,” he said.
