Eddie Murphy’s son welcomes baby girl with Martin Lawrence’s daughter

Eric Murphy, the son of comedian and actor Eddie Murphy, and Jasmin Lawrence, the daughter of comedian and actor Martin Lawrence, have welcomed their first child together, a baby girl.

Eddie Murphy shared the news with E! while attending his American Film Institute Life Achievement Award ceremony on Saturday, April 18.

“They just had a baby girl,” the “Beverly Hills Cop” star, 65, announced. “They just had her two weeks ago, or a week ago. Yeah, Ari Skye,” he added.

When E! News asked the elder Murphy to share parenting tips for the couple, the comedian declined.

“Oh, you don’t give advice like that,” he explained. “You know, your kids don’t go by your advice. Your kids go by the example you set. They watch you.”

Lawrence and Murphy confirmed their relationship in 2021, and they tied the knot in 2025. When the couple shared news of their engagement in 2024, they wrote on Instagram, “God truly blessed us with a love that feels like destiny. We couldn’t be more excited for this next chapter.
