Edo deputy gov thanks Okpebholo, Oshiomhole, others for support over mother’s death

The deputy governor of Edo State, Dennis Idahosa, has expressed gratitude for the support shown to his family by Governor Monday Okpebholo, Senator Adams Oshiomhole, and the leadership of the All Progressives Congress over the death of his mother.
In a statement on Saturday by his Chief Press Secretary, Friday Aghedo, the deputy governor also singled out members of the State House of Assembly led by Speaker Blessing Agbebaku and former governor of the state, Lucky Igbinedion, for paying condolences to the family.
He noted that the support and solidarity shown by these people and other individuals and organisations have kept him and his family strong at this critical time.
Idahosa noted that even at 95, he always thought his mother would still be with him for a long time to come.
He stressed that he was not only saddened by her demise, he was broken as he was very close to her.
“I am indeed grateful to you all for this support and solidarity. I thank you on behalf of my family for this condolence visit. We pray that God will use this opportunity to bring us closer and better,” he stated.
Meanwhile, during his visit, Lucky Igbinedion extolled the Idahosas for taking good care of their mother before her death.
Also, members of the Sand Quarry Owners Association of Edo State led by the Chairman Board of Trustees, Osakpamwan Eriyo, and Chairman of the Association, Omoregbe Omoregie, were also present to pay their condolences.
Speaking on behalf of the association, Osa Omo-Amadasun said that living up to 95 years was proof that mama was taken care of by the children. Omo-Amadasun prayed for her children to live beyond the age of 95 years.
Similarly, Osaro Aigbekaen, Chairman of the Edo State Tipper Drivers Association, who led other members on a condolence visit, noted that the late mother of the deputy governor was a mother to all.
On their part, the Accredited Waste Managers Association of Edo State, led by its Chairman Ahmed Aruna, pledged their support and assistance in areas of need, especially at this moment of grief.
In the same vein, members of the Arewa APC, Edo State Chapter, led by Alhaji Mansur Ibrahim, also expressed their grief and urged the family to be strong.
