EDSG urges youths to participate in Nigerian Army recruitment exercise

The Edo State Government has called on eligible youths across the state to take advantage of the ongoing Nigerian Army 91 Regular Recruits Intake.

The call follows the scheduled visit of a Nigerian Army sensitisation team to Edo State from April 8 to April 14, 2026, to engage, guide and support prospective applicants through the recruitment process.

In a statement, the state government urged qualified young men and women from Edo North, Edo Central and Edo South to participate actively in the exercise, describing it as an opportunity for meaningful employment, national service and personal development.

Governor Monday Okpebholo appealed to Edo youths to turn out in large numbers in order to improve the state’s participation and enable it meet its national quota in the recruitment exercise.

According to the government, the initiative offers young people in the state a chance to build disciplined and purposeful careers through service in the Nigerian Army.

The state government also called on parents, guardians, traditional rulers, community leaders, religious institutions and youth organisations to mobilise and encourage eligible candidates within their communities to take part in the exercise.

Interested applicants were advised to visit the official Nigerian Army recruitment portal for details on eligibility, requirements and application procedures.

Candidates were further urged to ensure that all necessary documents are complete before presenting themselves at the designated sensitisation centres during the exercise.

The Edo State Government reaffirmed its commitment to creating opportunities for youths and called for collective support to ensure the success of the recruitment drive.
