‘Everything In Nigeria Is Melting Down’ – Kingibe

Senator representing the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Senator Ireti Kingibe, has said that everybody is tired and exhausted from daily living in the country.

Naija News reports that Kingibe made this known while featuring in Arise Television’s ‘Prime Time’ on Monday, lamenting the level of insecurity in Nigeria.

The lawmaker stated that food insecurity is at its worst ever, stressing that taxes that are completely untenable and more are expected.

Kingibe further said she was pleased to see opposition alliances with national interest and not personal interest.

She said, “At the end of the day, everyone wants a better life; insecurity has never been this bad, food insecurity is at its worst ever, taxes are increased, and more are coming.

“Electricity, insecurity, in fact, everything has never been this bad. Food Insecurity is at its worst ever. Taxes that are completely untenable and more and more coming.

“So even let’s talk about phone calls, you have to dial somebody at least five times before you can actually have one conversation. Everything in the country is melting down.

“So it’s not just about whether we want to grab power or not. The truth is that everybody is tired and exhausted just from daily living.”
