Katie Price has been banned from driving for the seventh time after failing to respond to police correspondence regarding a speeding offence.

.....

The 47-year-old former glamour model was disqualified for six months after a car registered in her name, a Ford Capri, was recorded travelling at 80mph on the A64 near Stutton in North Yorkshire. Police contacted her requesting confirmation of the driver’s identity, but no response was received.

As a result, she was prosecuted and convicted for failing to provide information to police, with the court also ordering her to pay fines and costs exceeding £1,000.

The latest disqualification adds to a long history of driving offences dating back to 2010, with bans totalling more than six years. Previous incidents include speeding, driving while disqualified, drink-driving, and failing to identify drivers in multiple cases.

In 2019, Price admitted to driving while disqualified, resulting in a further ban, and was later convicted of being drunk in charge of a vehicle. A judge at the time rejected her explanation that another individual had been driving, describing her account as “not plausible.” She has also faced penalties for driving without a licence or insurance, and in 2021 received a suspended prison sentence after a crash in which she admitted to driving under the influence.

Her most recent conviction was handled through the Single Justice Procedure, where cases are decided by magistrates without a full court hearing. Magistrate Claire Sagar found Price guilty of failing to respond to police and imposed financial penalties, while the original speeding charge was withdrawn.

Beyond her driving record, Price has also faced financial challenges, including bankruptcy proceedings. Although her bankruptcies from 2019 and 2024 have been discharged, she remains under a court order to repay debts until February 2027. She has previously said that her extensive driving convictions have made it difficult for her to obtain car insurance.
