Ghanaian woman "Sweety" attacks her husband with razor blade

A Ghanaian woman identified as Sweety has reportedly inflicted razor blade wounds on her husband, Martin.

The incident happened at Gbi-Avega, a community in the Hohoe Municipality of the Volta Region on the night of April 18, 2026.

According to reports, the suspect fled the scene on a waiting motorcycle shortly after the attack.

Martin told journalists the incident happened while he was escorting Sweety to his house to pick up the rest of her belongings after their separation two weeks earlier.

Martin was first rushed to the Ve-Kolenu Clinic but was not attended to due to the severity of his condition.

He was later transported on a motorcycle to a hospital at Ve-Golokuati, where he received treatment and was discharged.

The couple have two children, aged three years and one year.

Authorities are investigating the incident with a view of arresting the suspect.
