Goal Fest: PSG Edge Bayern 5–4 in Thrilling Champions League Semi-Final First Leg

Paris Saint-Germain and Bayern Munich delivered a breathtaking 5–4 encounter in the UEFA Champions League semi-final first leg at the Parc des Princes, with the hosts narrowly prevailing in a pulsating, end-to-end contest.
The match exploded into life early on, with Harry Kane putting Bayern ahead from the penalty spot after Luis Díaz was fouled in the box.
PSG responded almost instantly as Khvicha Kvaratskhelia cut in from the left and curled a stunning effort into the far corner to restore parity. The hosts then took the lead before halftime when João Neves rose at the back post to nod home.
Bayern, however, were quick to hit back, with Michael Olise weaving past defenders before firing home a superb equaliser.
Drama intensified in stoppage time when PSG were awarded a contentious penalty after a VAR review adjudged Alphonso Davies to have handled in the box. Ousmane Dembélé calmly converted to give the French side a 3–2 lead at the break.
The second half saw PSG seize control. Kvaratskhelia grabbed his second of the night following a dangerous delivery from Achraf Hakimi, before Dembélé struck again at the near post to stretch the lead to 5–2, seemingly putting the tie beyond reach.
But Bayern refused to surrender. Dayot Upamecano pulled one back from close range, and Díaz added another after a fine assist from Kane to reduce the deficit to 5–4 and keep the contest alive.
Despite a tense finish and Bayern’s late surge, PSG held firm to secure a narrow advantage heading into the return leg in Munich. With a place in the final on the line against either Arsenal or Atlético Madrid, the tie remains finely poised.
