Gombe Governor Dissolves Cabinet

Governor Muhammad Inuwa Yahaya has dissolved the Executive Council of Gombe State, bringing an end to the current cabinet.
.....
Naija News reports that the decision was announced on Wednesday during the 53rd State Executive Council meeting, where the governor informed members of the development.
No clear reason was given at the time of the announcement, but the action is believed to be linked to shifting political interests among some members of the cabinet.
There are also indications that the move may be connected to wider political changes as preparations for future elections in the state begin to take shape.
Despite the dissolution, the governor is expected to set up a new Executive Council soon to ensure that government activities continue without disruption and that ongoing projects are not affected.
In other news, a former member of the House of Representatives, Ehiozuwa Agbonayinma, has resigned from the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Edo State.
Agbonayinma announced his decision during a press briefing in Benin City on Wednesday, stating that his resignation takes immediate effect.

The former lawmaker, who is seeking a return to the National Assembly, said he would soon reveal the political party under which he intends to contest in the next general election.
He explained that his decision followed what he described as internal issues within the party, including lack of respect for his leadership in Ikpoba-Okha Local Government Area, marginalisation of Edo South in political appointments, and undemocratic practices.
Agbonayinma, who also previously served as a member of the Code of Conduct Bureau, said he could no longer remain in a party he believed had deviated from democratic principles.
