Johnny gets new chieftaincy title as Ibe-Penadouwei of Gbaramatu

The Pere of ancient Gbaramatu Kingdom, in Warri South West Local Government Area, Delta State, His Royal Majesty, Oboro-Gbaraun II, Aketekpe, Agadagba, elevated the chieftaincy title of High Chief Michael Johnny to Ibe-penadouwei” of Gbaramatu kingdom.

The highly respected monarch conferred the new title on Johnny at an event held on Saturday at Oporoza, headquarters of Gbaramatu Kingdom.

Johnny, former Chairman of Egbema Gbaramatu Communities Development Foundation, received the roral honour in recognition of his genuine commitment, efforts and immense contributions to the famous Gbaramatu Kingdom.

Speaking to newsmen at Oporoza, Johnny appreciated the monarch for finding him worthy for the royal honour and recognition.

Adding that he is proud to be a Gbaramatu man and would continue to stand for growth and development in his God-given Gbaramatu Kingdom.

According him, “ I am happy, and certainly, this chieftaincy title will spur me to do more for Gbaramatu Kingdom and by extension Ijaw Nation”
