Kebbi Assembly Speaker dies in Egypt

The Speaker of the Kebbi State House of Assembly, Muhammad Usman Zuru, is dead.
His death was confirmed on Tuesday, following reports that he passed away at a hospital in Egypt after a brief illness.
Although details surrounding the nature of the illness remain undisclosed as of the time of filing this report, sources close to the Kebbi State Government said the lawmaker had been receiving medical treatment abroad prior to his death.
Mr Zuru, who represented Zuru Constituency, served as Speaker of the State Assembly and was regarded as a key figure in the state’s legislative arm.
Condolences have begun to pour in from political associates, government officials, and constituents, who described his death as a significant loss to Kebbi State and the nation’s democratic process.
Further official statements from the Kebbi State Government and the Assembly leadership are expected.
