Kwankwaso Would Be The Downfall Of Your Party – NNPP Chairman Warns ADC

The National Chairman of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP), Dr. Agbo Major, has reacted to Rabiu Kwankwaso’s recent defection to the African Democratic Congress (ADC).

.....

Naija News reports that Agbo Major acknowledged Kwankwaso’s contributions, saying, “Before Kwankwaso joined, the party’s electoral successes were largely limited to parliamentary positions.”

He added that Kwankwaso’s presence helped the NNPP gain a state governor and strengthened its overall structure, citing the role he played in bringing Governor Abba Yusuf of Kano State to the party as “a major milestone for the party.”

Despite this, Agbo Major expressed disappointment over Kwankwaso’s exit, warning that “the value he added became a nuisance because you cannot build and destroy at the same time.”

He further noted that political growth requires consistency, stating, “Sudden shifts in allegiance could undermine the progress already achieved.”

The NNPP chairman also questioned Kwankwaso’s broader political influence, saying, “He was not in that election even to win. He was in that election in his usual style, trying to reposition himself for another four years, so that another four years he would be relevant enough to come back and say, OK, Nigerians see me.”

He added, “There is nothing viable about Kwankwaso as a person.”

On the impact of Kwankwaso’s defection for the ADC, Agbo Major warned, “What the ADC has succeeded in doing is to inherit a baggage that will later turn to a menace within their foot.”
