MAAUN hails KHAIRUN Vice Chancellor at 67

Maryam Abacha American University of Nigeria, MAAUN, has congratulated the pioneer Vice Chancellor of Khalifa Isyaka Rabiu University, CCKHAIRUN, Kano, Prof. Abdulrashid Garba on the occasion of his 67th birthday.

In a statement on Sunday, the President MAAUN Group of Universities, Prof. Adamu Abubakar Gwarzo said clocking 67 was a milestone that deserves celebration.

“Clocking 67 is a milestone, a significant age that marks a life well lived. So, on behalf of the Management of MAAUN Group, I wish to felicitate with you on this auspicious occasion,” Mr Gwarzo said.

He described Prof. Garba as an experienced academic while expressing confidence in his ability to lead and guide the university towards a future of excellence.

Mr Gwarzo, who is also President of the Association of African Private Universities, AAPU, prayed that Almighty Allah would grant the KHAIRUN VC more years and sound health as he continues to lead the new university.

“We prayed that God will grant the celebrant long life in good health, strength and wisdom to take the new university to greater heights,” he added.
