Man arrested for alleged m#rder of motorcyclist in Ogun

Detectives of the Igbesa Division, Ogun State Police Command, have arresteda 27-year-old man identified as Chidi Ebere, for the alleged m#rder of a commercial motorcyclist in Igbesa, Ogun State.

The suspect reportedly boarded a motorcycle operated by the victim, Sunday Ogbu ‘M’, aged 36, at about 7am on April 8 and attacked the victim in an attempt to seize the bike, resulting in a violent struggle.
A witness at the scene who raised the alarm, prompted the police to rush to the scene. The victim was rescued and taken to the hospital for urgent medical attention but was confirmed de@d by the doctor on duty.
The suspect was apprehended immediately, while the motorcycle and the knife used in the attack were recovered as exhibits. The case has been transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID), Eleweran, Abeokuta, for thorough investigation and prosecution.

The Commissioner of Police, Ogun State Command, CP Bode Ojajuni, who condemned the act, has vowed to ensure that justice will be served. He urged the public to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activity to the police.
