Melania Trump's body language says it all in just 5 moves during furious Epstein speech

A body language expert has revealed five moves made by Melania Trump during her bombshell speech in Washington furiously denying any connection with the disgraced paedophile billionaire Jeffrey Epstein. The American First Lady made the speech at the White House denying ties to Epstein and knowledge of his sex crimes, saying the “stories are completely false” and calling accusations that she was somehow involved “smears about me”

Reading an extraordinary statement, Melania said she and her attorneys were fighting back against “unfound and baseless lies” in regards to her connections to the late financier, a convicted sex offender who leveraged connections to the rich, powerful and famous to recruit his victims and cover up his crimes. Melania mentioned her husband Donald Trump several times in her comments. She said Epstein did not introduce her to Trump and that she met her future husband at a New York City party in 1998.

TV body language expert and author Judi James told the Express there were five moves made by Melania during her speech which made clear her intentions.

As the cameras rolled, a first sign picked up by Ms James was when Melania made her way to the podium with an entrance walk that was very different from her normal style. Ms James observed: “Her entrance walk is almost a march as opposed to her normal, elegant ‘catwalk’ style. Her severe grey suit with its sharp tailoring and padded shoulders give a look reminiscent of her ‘boardroom’ pose of her official White House portrait, suggesting a desire to appear firm and businesslike.”

Noting Melania’s next move, Ms James added: “She stands with her elbows slightly splayed from her torso, creating a partial pit-bare that would signal confidence.

“There is a sense of personal determination from Melania here in a brief speech that, by her normal standards, is firm, emphatic and delivered with power, purpose and authority.”

When the First Lady begins her statement she gives away a third signal.

“She addresses the room with a steady gaze and a squared jaw for her ‘Good afternoon’ unsmiling greeting,” said Ms James.

“Her choice of words suggests anger and authority. She refers to ‘disgraceful’ Epstein and a ‘devoid of respect’ approach.”

As the speech goes into detail Melania mentions Epstein’s former lover Ghislaine Maxwell, who later acted as a sort of madame for the billionaire helping him and his associates source girls for sex.

Ms James said a fourth body clue comes out at this stage. She said: “When she denies a relationship with Maxwell she pauses to look up to show off her eyes rather than looking down in a cut-off ritual.

“Her delivery of her words is slow and emphatic, making them sound carefully chosen and heartfelt.”

Finally when Melania ends her shock address, Ms James said she delivers a fifth final sign get across her message.

She added: “At the end she looks up again, fixing the room with a brief but powerfully steady gaze and pursing her lips to suggest what looks like indignance before saying ‘Thank you’ and turning on her heels to march quickly out of the room again.”
