NAN MD consoles Prof. Jega over wife’s demise

Malam Ali M. Ali, the Managing Director of the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN), on Tuesday paid a condolence visit to Prof. Attahiru Jega, a former Chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), who recently lost his wife.
NAN reports that Jega’s wife, Hadiza, died on Sunday in Abuja.
The Managing Director, who was accompanied by the agency’s management team, described Hadiza’s demise as “saddening”.
Ali prayed to God to grant the deceased eternal rest, noting that all mortals would go the same way.
He thanked the Almighty that Hadiza died peacefully, and prayed that God would console the family and the entire nation.
Ali described Jega as his mentor, stating that he would remain eternally grateful for his kindness and guidance.
In his response, Jega thanked the NAN management for identifying with him and his people at such a critical time.
He said that Hadiza left the world at the time destined by her creator, and prayed to God to grant her a peaceful rest.
He prayed to God to reward the Managing Director and his team for the visit.
