NICOT President hails philanthropic gestures of Ambassador Metchie

The President of the Nigerian Community Türkiye (NICOT), Amb. Prince Emre Magboh, has applauded the impactful leadership as well as philanthropic gestures of Amb. Dr. John Metchie, to his communities across Anambra East and West Federal Constituency.

Magboh spoke in a statement to newsmen on Tuesday from his office in Istanbul, through his Special Adviser on Media, Amaechi Kingsley.

He stated: “The impactful leadership of His Excellency, Amb. Dr. John Metchie (Ezi Umueri) continues to shine as a beacon of hope and transformation. His tireless efforts have inspired communities across Anambra East and West Federal Constituency, leaving enduring footprints on the lives of many.

“Dr. Metchie’s unwavering commitment to grassroots development is evident in his wide-ranging initiatives. From empowering market women with improved access and opportunities, to strengthening healthcare systems and providing free medication for the elderly and vulnerable, his philanthropy reflects a profound understanding of the everyday needs of the people.”

He continued that; “Education remains a cornerstone of Dr. Metchie’s vision. By awarding scholarships to children from low-income and rural communities, Dr. Metchie has ensured that countless young minds remain in school, motivated to pursue excellence without the burden of financial hardship. His provision of educational materials further underscores his dedication to building a brighter future for the next generation.

“Beyond education and healthcare, Dr. Metchie’s leadership has fostered unity and social cohesion. By engaging both religious and traditional leaders, he has built bridges that promote peace and collective progress. His youth empowerment programs particularly in sports and talent development have created platforms for young people to discover their potential and contribute positively to society.”

The NOCOT President noted that; “Infrastructure development and community safety have also benefited from his vision.
