Nigerian bizman, John Kelechi Ekuma, wanted by EFCC over fraud

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has declared one John Kelechi Ekuma wanted over an alleged case of obtaining money by false pretence.

Ekuma, 43, an indigene of Ikwo Local Government Area of Ebonyi State, was listed in a public notice issued by the anti-graft agency as part of its ongoing efforts to track suspected fraudsters.

His last known address is 13/14 Ligali Ayomide Street, Victoria Island, Lagos.

In the notice issued on Tuesday and signed by the Commission’s head of media and publicity, Dele Oyewale, the EFCC appealed to members of the public to provide information that could lead to the suspect’s arrest.

“The public is hereby notified that John Kelechi Ekuma, whose photograph appears above, is wanted by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission in an alleged case of obtaining money by false pretence.”

The agency urged anyone with useful information about his whereabouts to contact its offices nationwide or reach out through its official communication channels.

“Anybody with useful information as to his whereabouts should please contact the Commission in its Ibadan, Uyo, Sokoto, Maiduguri, Benin, Makurdi, Kaduna, Ilorin, Enugu, Kano, Lagos, Gombe, Port Harcourt or Abuja offices or through 08093322644; its e-mail address: [email protected]
or the nearest Police Station and other security agencies,” the statement added.

The EFCC reiterated its commitment to combating financial crimes and called on the public to support its efforts by providing credible information to aid ongoing investigations.
