Ossai launches Tinubu–Sheriff Support Group in Delta

A former member of the House of Representatives for Ndokwa/Ukwuani Federal Constituency, Ossai Nicholas Ossai, has inaugurated the Tinubu–Sheriff Support Group to mobilise grassroots backing for the re-election of Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Delta State Governor Sheriff Oborevwori.

The inauguration ceremony, which brought together coordinators at central, local government, and ward levels, marked the formal rollout of the group’s structure across the Ndokwa/Ukwuani Federal Constituency.

Speaking at the event, Ossai said the initiative was designed to consolidate support for the All Progressives Congress (APC), citing what he described as developmental efforts by the party at both constituency and national levels.

He referenced projects in the area, including the reported approval of funding for an Independent Power Project (IPP), as well as the establishment of a Federal University of Medical and Health Sciences and a teaching hospital in Kwale.

According to him, such interventions underscore the need for sustained political support.

Ossai also highlighted policy initiatives of the current administration, including the establishment of regional development commissions and programmes aimed at job creation.

Reflecting on developments in the constituency, he emphasised the importance of continued political engagement to attract projects and investments, noting that the support group would serve as a mobilisation platform ahead of future elections.

The Central Working Committee of the group includes Hon. Azaka Ossai as Chairman and Chief Eric Anigala as Leader/Co-Chairman. Other members are Hon. Ubanatu Kennedy; Hon. Ossai Orjie, Director of Mobilisation; Hon. Ossai Samuel Ochonogor, Director of Research and Strategy; Hon. Steve Onyeme, Director of Logistics; Hon. Mrs Helen Ejeh, Director of Women Mobilisation; Hon. Ayo Ekwebelem, Director of Security; Hon. Larry Eduzuka, Director of Media; Hon. Ilome Ossai, Administrative Secretary; and Hon. Kingsley Opone, Director of Youth Affairs.

Ward coordinators were also named to oversee grassroots activities across the constituency.
