Outrage as woman forces young girl to hold two heavy stones above her head for 4 hours in Benue

D!sturbing photos showing a young girl holding two heavy stones above her head, have sparked outrage after they surfaced on social media.

The incident happened in Makurdi, Benue State. 

An activist, Zege Orkwande, who shared the photos in a Facebook post on Tuesday, March 31, 2926, said the girl was allegedly forced to hold the stones from 6:am to 9:am as punishment for unknown offence. 

“Things we see in Makurdi, Benue state. It’s right to torture a child this way? You take a child from the poor parents to stay with you and receive such punishment?,” he wrote.

“For me this is torture. Like today, its alleged that “she carried the stones from around 6:am to 9:am”.

 

“The madam is going to learn the hard way. Meanwhile, if you aren’t okay with someone’s child, take the child back to the parents.”
