Ronaldo hits 967 career goals, closes in on historic 1,000 mark

Cristiano Ronaldo continued his relentless chase of history with another standout performance, scoring twice to inspire Al Nassr to a commanding 5-2 win over Al Najmah in the Saudi Pro League.
The Portuguese forward has now taken his remarkable career tally to 967 goals for club and country, leaving him just 33 goals shy of the unprecedented 1,000-goal milestone.
Ronaldo’s impact in Saudi Arabia remains extraordinary.
His brace saw him reach 97 league goals in just 100 appearances, putting him firmly on course to hit the 100-goal mark in the competition since his arrival in January 2023.
He made his league debut for Al Nassr in a narrow 1-0 defeat to Al Ettifaq on January 22, 2023, before opening his account against Al Fateh on February 3, 2023.
The five-time Ballon d’Or winner later reached his 50th league goal in his 50th appearance, achieving the feat against Al Raed on August 22, 2024.
The clash against Al Najmah on April 3, 2026, not only marked his 100th league appearance but also highlighted his continued dominance in front of goal.
With his latest brace securing another emphatic victory, Ronaldo is now within touching distance of two major milestones—100 goals in the Saudi Pro League and the historic 1,000-goal mark in professional football.
