Russia issues horror '72-hour warning' nuclear threat to Kyiv – 'war will end in a month'

A Russian oligarch has claimed Vladimir Putin may unleash nuclear horror on Ukraine to end the war within a month. The wealthy Russian state media mogul Konstantin Malofeev spoke out as Russia has been spooked by new Ukrainian ballistic missiles, which could, within weeks, target and destroy key strategic sites in Moscow.

“Everything will be decided by a nuclear strike,” the Orthodox oligarch said, urging Putin to press the Armageddon button. “It’s time to end this war [in Ukraine] now.” A prominent pro-Kremlin owner of the hardline Tsargrad channel, the tycoon is the third Putin mouthpiece in the space of only two days to issue chilling demands for nuclear strikes. “Russia will warn the population 72 hours in advance of a nuclear strike on western Ukraine,” he said. “A strike of 20–25 kilotons will cause critical destruction and panic across the country […] “The war will end within a month.”

Malofeev compared a nuclear strike on Ukraine with the atomic bombs unleashed on Hiroshima and Nagasaki and the end of World War 2.

“Tactical nuclear weapons today have roughly the same power as ‘Little Boy’ and ‘Fat Man’,” he said. “If one of them can end a four-year war – it must do so.”

“The bombing of Hiroshima and Nagasaki allowed tens of thousands of lives to be saved.”

Malofeev claimed that in Ukraine “there are no longer any moral or legal boundaries […] the loser will pay for everything.”

He forecast “denazification will take place across all Ukraine – up to public executions of Bandera leaders and heads of [military] recruitment centres.” In the future, a puppet leader of Ukraine would come to Russia and “thank those who ended the war,” he claimed.

A day earlier, Russian state TV called for nuclear strikes that could be used to “wipe Ukrainian cities off the face of the earth” and kill Volodymyr Zelensky “in his bunker”. Putin’s propaganda zealots even boastfully called themselves the “Nuclear Maniacs Club”.

War pundit Col. Mikhail Khodarenok declared: “The task isn’t solvable with conventional weapons, the ones we have, so perhaps we should switch to special [nuclear] weapons and end this conflict within ten days, by 1 May…?

“The time has come when the use of special weapons should not be considered an out-of-the-ordinary occurrence.”

Meanwhile Vladimir Solovyov said: “Citizens living in Kyiv, Odesa, Mykolaiv, and Kharkiv, leave your cities immediately. They will be wiped off the face of the earth.”

The sinister rhetoric in the Tsargrad commentary comes amid a Ukrainian threat to use within weeks the country’s new home-produced FP-9 ballistic missile with a range of 530 miles – designed to strike Moscow. The notorious FSB headquarters at Lubyanka – near the Kremlin and previously the home of the Soviet era KGB – was one target highlighted by the missile’s maker Denys Shtilerman, chief designer of Fire Point company.

The threat of the new missiles is also putting into jeopardy Putin’s flagship annual military Victory Day parade on May 9, according to pro-war channels. The showpiece could be dramatically scaled back amid fears Ukraine could launch an assassination bid on Putin and thousands of Russian troops gathered in Red Square.

However, for now, the Kremlin is insisting the event will go ahead.
