Russia issues horror threat to hold global economy hostage like Iran

Russia says it has nothing but the “deepest respect towards Iran” and intends to study the conflict’s lessons and apply its own strategic approach. The Kremlin appears not only to admire Iran’s effective closure of the strategically critical Strait of Hormuz, which has contributed to a global oil shortage, but also seems interested in adopting similar measures itself.

Speaking on the Russian state TV show ‘Sunday Evening With Vladimir Solovyov, ’ Andrey Kartapolov spoke at length about how Russia needs to “understand” how Iran managed to withstand US pressure in the ongoing conflict and to draw lessons from that situation. “We should really draw conclusions based on what is currently happening over Iran and around Iran”, said Kartapolov. Before adding: Personally, I can’t feel anything towards all Iranian people, other than the deepest respect towards Iran’s leadership, towards its armed forces.

Sparking global tensions once again the politician who served as the Russian’s army officer between July 2018 until October 2022 praised Iran’s leadership and its armed forces in his speech.

Kartapolov said: “First and foremost the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps are fighting very respectably.

“They’re fighting against the strongest army in the world, they’re fighting against the richest country in the world and they are fighting successfully.”

“We need to understand how they were able to do this, in principle a lot of lies on the surface.”

Kartapolov went on to tell the panel that Russia could mislead US President Donald Trump into underestimating the strength of its armed forces.”

Kartapolov said: “Trump keeps boasting that he destroyed Iran’s navy. He probably doesn’t know that we could clue him in. Iran’s navy is one component but there are several forces of the IRGC.

“They are far from being destroyed and have totally different systems in their arsenal.”

Kartapolov acknowledged that Russia’s fleet is “quite limited and well-known to adversaries” and argued that the country should keep its strategic reserves hidden from “unfriendly nations,” leaving them uncertain about the true scale of its weaponry.”

He said: “We should create vast protected spaces deep underground where our strategic reserves should be kept, including weapons, ammunition and gear.

“And all necessary means that would allow us in case an unfriendly nation or a bloc of unfriendly nations decide to conduct decapitating strikes.”

He ended his speech by saying that regardless of the wars outcome “Russia is the civilisation that will save everyone”.
