Tinubu administration has worsened insecurity, poverty in Nigeria – Tambuwal

Senator Aminu Tambuwal, former Sokoto state governor, has accused the administration of President Bola Tinubu of worsening insecurity, poverty and hunger in the country.
Tambuwal spoke while addressing delegates at the state congress of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) in Sokoto.
He said: “I believe Nigerians have seen for themselves what Bola Ahmed Tinubu can deliver, if at all anything has been delivered. This administration has only brought more insecurity, poverty and hunger.”
Tambuwal also alleged mismanagement and diversion of public resources, adding that such funds could be used to influence voters ahead of the 2027 general elections.
He said the worsening economic situation has led to rising unemployment and deepening hardship, stressing that the situation falls short of Nigerians’ expectations of leadership.
Tambuwal also criticised the Sokoto state government, accusing it of failing to meet the expectations of the people.
The former Sokoto governor urged members of the ADC in the state to remain united and intensify grassroots mobilisation.
“As you can see, by the grace of God, we will continue to mobilise for increased membership in unity and cohesion,” he said.
Tambuwal appealed to members to remain resolute amid what he described as intimidation by the ruling party.
He said the party will continue to strengthen its grassroots structures ahead of future elections, especially the forthcoming one in 2027.
