Tinubu Approves Lands In Abuja For AmbassadorsÂ

The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, has revealed that President Bola Tinubu has approved the allocation of land in Abuja to ambassadors and high commissioners who have been selected to represent Nigeria abroad.
.....
Naija News reports that Wike made this known when ambassadors-designate paid him a visit at his official home in Life Camp, Abuja. The group was led by the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Dunoma Umar Ahmed.
During the meeting, the minister explained that the President approved the land allocation so that Nigerian envoys would have property in Abuja, especially when they return home for official duties and briefings.
He explained that the plan would allow each envoy to apply for land before leaving the meeting venue.
According to him, the move is meant to ensure that Nigeriaâs representatives have a place to stay in the capital whenever they return from their postings abroad.

He also said the decision would help improve diplomatic activities in Abuja and encourage closer links between foreign missions and the Federal Capital Territory.
Wike told the diplomats that their conduct and actions abroad would shape how Nigeria is viewed in other countries.
He urged them to carry themselves well and represent the country in a positive way wherever they are posted.
He also advised them to share the plans and direction of President Tinubu with the countries where they will serve, especially in areas related to attracting investors and building partnerships with other nations.
