President Bola Tinubu will on Wednesday commence a two-day working visit to Lagos State, during which he is expected to inaugurate six major infrastructure projects executed by the administration of Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu.
.....
Naija News reports that the development was disclosed by the Governor’s Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Gboyega Akosile, via a post on 𝕏 (formerly Twitter), where he described the projects as “iconic, transformative and legacy” initiatives.
Akosile listed the projects scheduled for commissioning to include the Ojota-Opebi Link Bridge, the Lagos State Geographic Information Service building in Alausa, the Lagos State Multi-Agency Complex, the Tolu Schools Complex in Ajegunle, the Maracana Stadium, and the Lagos Food Logistics Hub in Abijo.
He said, “Please join the Lagos State Governor, Mr Babajide Sanwo-Olu to welcome President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to a two-day working visit to our dear State. While here, the President will commission some of our iconic, transformative and legacy projects.”
Also confirming the visit, the Commissioner for Transportation, Oluwaseun Osiyemi, noted that the projects were strategically designed to address critical infrastructure deficits across the state.
According to him, the Opebi-Mende-Ojota Link Bridge is expected to significantly ease traffic congestion and provide alternative routes for motorists navigating busy corridors such as Allen, Opebi, Maryland, and Ojota.

Osiyemi explained that the Lagos State Geographic Information Service building would strengthen land administration through improved digitisation processes.
He added that the Multi-Agency Complex would create additional office space within the state secretariat, enabling more government agencies to operate efficiently from a central location.
Speaking further, the commissioner highlighted that the Lagos Food Logistics Hub in Abijo would enhance agro-trade by providing modern storage and trading facilities for agricultural produce.
He also noted that the Tolu Schools Complex in Ajegunle had been upgraded with new classrooms, Information and Communication Technology laboratories, and sports facilities to improve learning outcomes.
On sports development, Osiyemi disclosed that the Maracana Stadium in Ajegunle now features 19 mini football pitches, aimed at promoting grassroots sports and nurturing young talents.
