Tinubu Meets Oyo APC Leader Folarin In Lagos

Teslim Folarin, a leader of the All Progressives Congress in Oyo State, met with President Bola Tinubu on Thursday night at his home in Ikoyi, Lagos. Folarin, who was the APC governorship candidate in Oyo State during the 2023 general election, confirmed the meeting in a post shared on his official social media handles.
The meeting comes amid growing speculations over the party’s possible direction ahead of the 2027 governorship election in the state.
Sharafadeen Alli, another APC leader, is reportedly being considered for the governorship. Alli has previously met with the President as well. Although details of Thursday’s meeting were not made public, party sources said the engagements may not be unconnected with ongoing consultations within the APC on its strategy in Oyo State.
Folarin, who served as the Senate representative for Oyo Central and ran for governor on the APC platform in 2023, is still a prominent member of the party.
