Tinubu Nominates Joseph Olasunkanmi Tegbe as New Minister of Power After Adelabu’s Exit

Following Adebayo Adelabu’s resignation, President Bola Tinubu has proposed Joseph Olasunkanmi Tegbe as the new Minister of Power.
On April 30, 2026, the State House released a statement announcing the nomination, which presidential aide Bayo Onanuga signed. In accordance with constitutional obligations, Tegbe’s name has also been sent to the Senate for review and approval.
According to reports, Adelabu left the ministry after deciding to run for an elected political position, leaving a gap in the crucial power sector post.
