Transcorp speaks on ‘cancellation’ of ADC’s booking

Transcorp Hilton has reacted to a claim that it cancelled a booking for a political rally by the African Democratic Congress (ADC).
The hotel spoke in an official statement issued on Thursday and signed by its Acting General Manager, Mohamed Said Khalil.
It said the allegations currently circulating across social media platforms do not reflect the true situation.
According to the management, there was never any confirmed reservation to cancel in the first place.
Khalil said: “Our attention has been drawn to false and misleading information circulating on social media alleging that Transcorp Hilton Abuja cancelled a booking for a political rally.
“We wish to categorically state that this claim is entirely false and does not reflect the facts.”
The hotel disclosed that what transpired was merely an inquiry made on Easter Monday regarding the availability of its facilities.
