Turaki-led PDP holds closed-door meeting with Mark’s ADC in Abuja

A high-powered delegation of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, led by Tanimu Turaki, is currently in a closed-door meeting with leaders of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) headed by David Mark in Abuja.

The PDP delegation arrived at Mark’s residence in Apo Legislative Quarters at about 4:50 p.m. on Wednesday.

A source close to the party said the meeting is part of ongoing consultations aimed at exploring a possible alliance between the PDP and ADC ahead of the 2027 general elections.

Among those present at the meeting are Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde; former Minister of Information and PDP founding member, Jerry Gana; and former Niger State Governor, Babangida Aliyu, alongside members of the PDP National Working Committee, NWC.

Also in attendance are former Vice-President, Atiku Abubakar; Labour Party presidential candidate in the 2023 election, Peter Obi; former Kano State Governor, Rabiu Kwankwaso; and former Sokoto State Governor, Aminu Tambuwal.

Former Rivers State Governor, Rotimi Amaechi, and former Attorney-General of the Federation, Abubakar Malami, are also participating in the talks.

The leaders of both parties are expected to brief journalists at the end of the meeting.
