Victor Osimhen has returned to training with Galatasaray after making swift progress in his recovery from an arm injury.

The Nigeria international had initially been expected to spend up to six weeks on the sidelines following surgery, but the striker has recovered ahead of schedule in a major boost for the Turkish champions.

Galatasaray confirmed on their official channels that the 27-year-old has resumed work with the squad while continuing a specialised rehabilitation programme supervised by the club’s medical team.

His return comes as welcome news for the Istanbul side, who are preparing for a crucial league fixture against Gençlerbirliği next weekend.

Club officials remain optimistic that Osimhen will be fit enough to feature in the encounter if his recovery continues as planned.

The striker’s absence had raised concerns among supporters given his importance to the team’s attacking ambitions this season.

However, his early return is expected to strengthen Galatasaray’s push in the title race and other competitions.

Osimhen has remained one of Nigeria’s most influential footballers in recent years, and his progress will also be closely monitored by fans ahead of upcoming international fixtures involving the Nigeria national football team.
