Former Vice-President Atiku Abubakar and ex-Rivers State Governor Rotimi Amaechi held a strategic meeting on Wednesday as part of efforts to consolidate the African Democratic Congress coalition ahead of anticipated political battles.

The Special Adviser to Atiku, Eta Uso, disclosed this in a post on X, accompanied by a video showing the two politicians alongside other stakeholders.

Uso said the meeting was about the unity and resolve of the ADC coalition, adding that the alignment between the parties remained firm.

He said, “H.E. Atiku Abubakar has just concluded a strategic meeting with former Rivers State Governor, Rotimi Amaechi. The ADC coalition remains united and resolute.

“The alignment is firm, and our collective commitment to defending democracy is unwavering. The impunity of the APC-led federal government will be confronted decisively and lawfully, and it will not stand.”

PidomNigeriaONLINE reports that the Federal High Court in Abuja had earlier restrained the Independent National Electoral Commission from recognising or participating in any congress organised by a disputed caretaker leadership of the African Democratic Congress following the leadership dispute within the ADC.
