Video: I Will Not Take That – Channels Anchor Fires Back At Ex-ADC Chair Over Allegation

Former chairman of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), Ralph Nwosu, and a Channels Television news anchor, Kayode OkikiOlu, had a mild disagreement on national TV.

Naija News reports that the issue began when OkikiOlu asked Nwosu to disclose those who offered him three ministerial slots to ensure that the ADC coalition does not see the light of day.

Nwosu had claimed some time back that certain persons approached him to ensure the party doesn’t adopt the coalition group.

However, when he was asked to name the person or persons who made the ministerial offer to him, he failed to do so.

He accused OkikiOlu of being sent by someone to ask him that particular question.

The former ADC chair alleged that OkikiOlu had received a text message from a person to put him on the spot.

OkikiOlu, who was displeased with the allegation, stated that he received no text from anyone.

He said, “That is not true, you do not have evidence. I can show you my phone; nobody sent me a text message, and it is unfair for you to say that on national television without proof. I will not take that. Nobody sent me a text, and it is very unfair for you to raise such an allegation when you know that it is not true.”

A co-host subsequently demanded an apology from Nwosu, to which he obliged.
