Eid el-Kabir: Sen. Sani-Musa’s wife donates rice, wrappers, cash to women in Niger, Nasarawa, Abuja

Thousands of women across Paiko, Gurara, Munya, Tafa, Suleja and Keffi local government areas in Niger and Nasarawa states, as well as the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), went home smiling on Tuesday after receiving bags of rice, wrappers and cash donations from Saadatu Sani Musa as part of Sallah support for vulnerable households.
The intervention, carried out under the platform of the Future Pathways Foundation, saw trailer loads of rice distributed to widows, elderly women and low-income families in parts of the Niger East Senatorial District ahead of the Eid-el-Kabir celebration.
Speaking during the distribution exercise, Mrs Sani-Musa said the gesture aligned with the foundation’s commitment to ensuring that no family goes hungry, especially during festive periods.
She said the foundation remained focused on reaching underserved communities and restoring hope to struggling households across the state.
“As long as I live and eat in my household, I will ensure that underserved homes also have something to eat. Sallah is a season of sacrifice, compassion and sharing with those in need,” she said.
Beneficiaries expressed gratitude for the intervention, describing it as timely in the face of prevailing economic hardship.
Some of the women said the support would ease the burden of providing food for their families during the celebration, while community leaders commended the Senator’s wife for sustaining humanitarian efforts at the grassroots.
The Future Pathways Foundation has, in recent years, carried out several humanitarian interventions across communities in Niger State, focusing on food support, women empowerment and assistance to vulnerable groups.
