Insecurity: Hausa community in Ibadan stage protest over ethnic-profiling
The Hausa community in Ibadan, Oyo state have staged a protest in the state over ethnic profiling following weeks of heightened suspicion directed at the community in the wake of the abduction of over 40 students and teachers in Oriire local government area of the state.
The protesters said it was wrong to label an entire ethnic group as criminals because of the actions of suspected k!dnappers.
They appealed to security agencies and the public to go after actual criminals rather than target innocent residents based on their tribe or identity.
