Insecurity: Nigerians now beg terrorists for their lives – Baba Yusuf

A political strategist, Baba Yusuf, has decried the upsurge of insecurity in Nigeria, stressing that it is getting worse.
Speaking during an interview on Arise Television’s Prime Time on Friday, Yusuf lamented that it has gotten to a point where Nigerians now beg terrorists for their lives.
According to him, for 17 years Nigeria has been facing multidimensional insecurity, stressing that and it has got to a point where citizens have lost trust in the leaders.
He charged the government to kickstart the investigation of why so much money is going into security but the country is not getting the desired outcome.
“Citizens are now aligning with the terrorists not to fight and beg for their lives.
“Insecurity is getting worse and it has even gotten to the point that Nigerians have lost trust in the leaders.
“Section 88 and 89 of the 1999 constitution gives the red and green chamber of the National Assembly the power to investigate anything.
“Apart from the scrutiny, they had within the framework of the constitution to ensure things are done as at when due. This is more reactive than proactive,” he said.
