Pastor Adeboye Breaking News RCCG Finally Fires Back At Government Campaign Rumours

The Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) has denied claims that its General Overseer, Pastor Enoch Adeboye, campaigned in support of the current government, insisting in a statement released on Tuesday that he has consistently maintained a neutral position on partisan politics.

The church clarified that Pastor Adeboye’s engagement with political matters has been limited to encouraging members to obtain their Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs) and vote according to their own conscience, without endorsing any political party or candidate.

The RCCG also dismissed allegations that Adeboye cancelled a planned protest, explaining that he simply passed on a directive from the Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria (PFN) regarding changes to a three-day prayer programme and rally.

According to the church, the update which involved relocating the grand finale to a centralized venue was communicated by PFN to all member churches across Nigeria, and Adeboye merely relayed that information to RCCG members.

Additionally, the church rejected the notion that its leader deliberately avoids speaking on national issues, stating that Adeboye has addressed matters such as insecurity, corruption, economic hardship, governance, and the need for righteous leadership on multiple occasions, though typically through moral guidance, prayer, and counsel rather than direct political confrontation.

The church concluded firmly, stating that Pastor Adeboye and the RCCG would not be defined by falsehood and would not remain silent while inaccurate narratives continue to be presented as fact.
