Troops rescue widow of late Army General Rabe Abubakar

The Nigerian military has rescued the wife of late retired Army General Rabe Abubakar from captivity in a successful operation.
Sources within the Military authorities disclosed that the rescue was carried out by troops during ongoing clearance and search operations targeting criminal elements responsible for kidnappings and other security threats.
The source also disclosed that the widow has since been reunited with her family and is receiving necessary medical attention and support.
Mr Abubakar, a retired senior military officer, reportedly died while his wife remained in captivity, a development that generated widespread concern and renewed calls for intensified efforts to secure the release of kidnap victims across the country.
