2026 World Cup: Guardiola set for new managerial job

Former Manchester City manager, Pep Guardiola, has met with the Italian Football Federation, FIGC.
The FIGC are trying to convince Guardiola to take over as the national team head coach, according to Sky Italia.
The new technical director of the FIGC, Paolo Maldini, and Leonardo, his advisor, travelled to Barcelona to speak with the Spaniard.
It remains to be seen if Guardiola is interested in the job, or making a swift return to management.
Roberto Mancini and Andrea Pirlo are the other candidates under consideration.
Gennaro Gattuso left the role after Italy failed to qualify for a third consecutive World Cup.
