28 Ships Loaded With Fuel, Food and Cargo Headed for Lagos Ports

The Nigerian Ports Authority, NPA, says 28 ships carrying petroleum products, food items and other goods are expected to arrive at Apapa, Lekki Deep Sea Port and Tincan Island port in Lagos.

According to the NPA’s Daily Shipping Position, the vessels are expected between July 16 and July 26, with 10 of them carrying various containerised goods and the remaining 18 set to berth with bulk urea, petrol, general cargo, crude oil, diesel, aviation fuel, alkaline, bulk gas and bulk wheat.

The authority also disclosed that 13 ships and tanker vessels have already arrived at the three ports and are currently awaiting berth, carrying petrol, bulk wheat, general cargo, bulk gas, diesel, bulk urea, containers and bulk sugar.

It further noted that 27 ships are currently discharging cargo across Lekki Deep Sea Port, Apapa and Tincan Island port, offloading bulk wheat, general cargo, containers, petrol, diesel, crude oil, aviation fuel, bulk gypsum, fresh fish, bulk sugar and bulk gas.
