âIt took becoming an adult to realise I have so much trauma to unpack. I’m scared it could affect the kind of parent I’ll becomeâ â Lady opens up

.....
A young lady has shared an emotional reflection on how her upbringing continues to affect her as an adult.
According to her, growing up with parents who discouraged her from expressing herself left her struggling with communication and emotional regulation. She admitted she now has little patience and fears it could affect the kind of mother she becomes in the future.
She also revealed that conversations with her father still trigger anxiety, saying their relationship feels more like “daughter to pastor” than father and daughter, with most discussions revolving around marriage and having children.
